Being there:
Videré eyes NYC
After nearly three years of exponential growth serving the legal industry
via video, audio and Web conferencing, Videré Conferencing Inc.
is planning a Big Apple satellite office for the first quarter of next
year. Videré will launch its office with a sales executive and
a sales engineering staffer, said company President Todd Luttinger.
Launched in 2002 with about $150,000 in seed money from founders Bill
Benoit, Steve Cogliano and Luttinger, Videré now has about 15 employees
at its Quincy home base and about 200 customers, Luttinger said. Videré
projects 2004 revenue of $7 million to $8 million, Luttinger said. In
2003, Videré reported revenue of about $3 million.
"It's beyond our wildest dreams, especially the ilk of customers
we have," Luttinger said.
Videré's customer roster includes many of the city's top law
firms, including: Foley Hoag LLP; Goodwin Procter LLP; Mintz Levin Cohn
Ferris Glovsky and Popeo PC; Nutter, McClennen & Fish LLP; Ropes &
Gray LLP; and Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP.
Selling multiple systems to large corporations and law firms has driven
much of Videré's growth, Luttinger said. Making it easy for the
clients to use the Videré system is another.
"We're working with customers and getting them to utilize the technology
better," he said. "That's been a big part of our success and
why our customers' use of the technology has grown."
