NUANCE COMMUNICATIONS TURNS TO VIDERÉ CONFERENCING
FOR TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT AT NEW CORPORATE
November 1, 2005
Quincy, MA. – Videré Conferencing,
New England's leading provider of video, audio and web conferencing solutions,
announced today that they have completed a major project at the new corporate
offices of Nuance Communications, Inc., the leading provider of speech
and imaging solutions for businesses and consumers around the world.
Videré is a full-service organization that manages every aspect
of the conferencing project, from best practices consultation, to product
selection, custom installations, training, maintenance and support.
Videré worked closely with the Nuance to custom design and install
audio/visual equipment in the board room, four conference rooms, three
training rooms, the company fitness center, lobby and café.
“Videré took the time to understand our needs within this
new office space and put together the right package of technologies and
products that met our budget and demanding schedule,” said Larry
Rowland, chief information officer at Nuance Communications. “The
result is an office environment that fosters communication and collaboration
among employees, customers and partners.”
The conferencing technology used in this project is a significant upgrade
over the previous facility. Instead of presentations using a portable
screen and desktop projector that cluttered the conference table with
wires and distracting noise, rooms are now controlled through a single
console, hidden from view. Everything from the lighting, drapes, thermostats,
AV equipment, projector screens and volume is managed using an intuitive,
easy-to-use touch panel from Crestron Electronics.
For video communications in the larger rooms, Nuance is utilizing Polycom’s
VSX™8000, which provides the highest quality video and surround
sound audio available today. The VSX™8000 series of products was
designed specifically for integration and convergence with other conferencing
technologies, providing unprecedented investment protection.
For smaller rooms and meetings, Nuance is utilizing Polycom’s VSX™
7400, a mobile video communications system that provides optimum collaboration
capabilities in a set-top videoconferencing system.
“Nuance’s facility is now complete with state-of-the-art equipment
and technology that meets their conferencing needs today and well into
the future,” said Videré’s area sales manager Bernie
McCool.
