VIDERÉ ANNOUNCES NEW INITIATIVE AIMED AT SPECIFIC CONFERENCING
NEEDS OF THE LEGAL COMMUNITY
Firm Eyes Expansion to New York in 2005
November 15, 2004
Quincy, MA. – Videré Conferencing, a leading provider
of video, audio, and web conferencing solutions, announced today that
they have developed a new practice area focused on the specific conferencing
needs of the legal community. The company also announced plans to open
a New York City office in 2005 in order to better serve their many customers
with locations in the city.
Videré has completed custom conferencing and audio visual projects
with more than twenty law firms to date including five out of seven of
Boston’s largest law firms according to data from the Boston Business
Journal. These firms include Ropes and Gray, Goodwin Procter, Wilmer,
Cutler, Pickering, Hale & Dorr, Mintz Levin and Foley Hoag. Projects
have ranged from process re-engineering, upgrading legacy equipment, audio
visual customization, network design, multipoint bridging services and
supporting offices in locations outside of Boston including New York,
Washington DC and California.
“Law firms offer a demanding environment where there is a higher
level of stress and pressure than in the typical office workplace. Senior
partners do not have time to learn about how to operate some conferencing
hardware when they are trying to start a meeting. Additionally, they need
to have their meetings be about the content not about running a piece
of technology,” said Videré president Todd Luttinger. “We
have developed a series of tools that simplify the process for end users
making it much more likely that they will use, and benefit from the technology.”
“Videré’s customer-centric services model is the right
approach for the legal community,” said Andrew W. Davis, senior
analyst and managing partner at Wainhouse Research. “Many law firms
made large capital investments a decade ago in conferencing technology
and were left disappointed because it was so difficult to operate. By
focusing on ease of use for the end user, Videré is encouraging
widespread adoption of this technology across the firm. This ultimately
brings a much faster return on investment.”
“Videré has been a great partner to work with,” said Kathleen
Heroux of Goodwin Procter. “They bring a deep understanding of conferencing
technology and combine that with a really focused customer support program.
They have helped us to maximize our investment in this technology by making
it accessible to employees at all levels from paralegals to senior partners.”
Videré has the ability to install simple point-to-point videoconferencing
as well as complex multi-location design with ISDN or IP networks, multipoint
bridging services or audio conferencing solutions that include web-based
presentation and collaboration tools. Videré also designs and implements
custom audio and videoconferencing rooms and offers a wide variety of
training and support programs.
Videré has established partnerships with the conferencing industry’s
leading suppliers to provide customers with best-in-class products, enabling
the delivery of technology tailored to meet any application or requirement.
In addition to the legal community, Videré serves a variety of
industries including healthcare, education, government, biotech, financial
and professional services.
