VIDERÉ CONFERENCING IMPLEMENTS STATE OF THE ART VIDEOCONFERENCING
TECHNOLOGY FOR GOODWIN PROCTER
IP-based Network Connects Regional Offices
February 15, 2006
Quincy, MA. – Videré Conferencing,
New England’s leading provider of video, audio and web conferencing
solutions, announced today that they have begun working with Goodwin Procter
LLP, a leading national law firm.
Goodwin Procter selected Videré to improve the experience for the
attorneys using videoconferencing technology for communication among the
various law offices and practice groups located across the country. Videré
is managing every aspect of the project, from best practices consultation,
to product selection, installation, training, maintenance and support.
The plan is to move away from the use of ISDN lines and to build an IP-based
network connecting the regional offices. In addition to immediate cost
savings, the firm expects that the ease of use with the new technology,
and better video and audio quality, will improve the overall videoconferencing
experience and contributed to broader adoption and a more efficient workforce.
“Videre’s experience with the unique requirements of law firms,
and their willingness to go above and beyond most vendors, has been our
reason for choosing them as our primary contractor,” said David
Brandt, multi-media communications manager at Goodwin Procter. “When
you combine that level of customer service with their deep knowledge of
the latest technology available for presentations and videoconferencing,
as well as networking and integration issues that is a powerful combination.”
“Our goal is to provide the IT staff with the latest technology
and engineering while at the same time addressing the needs of lawyers
and partners who want to leverage this technology without the need for
training sessions or IT support,” said Todd Luttinger, chief executive
officer at Videré Conferencing. “The ultimate goal is to
promote usability from senior partners to the administrative staff. Otherwise,
our customers wouldn’t be able to realize a return on their investment.”
Videré has completed custom conferencing and audio visual projects
with more than twenty law firms to date including five out of seven of
Boston’s largest law firms according to data from the Boston Business
Journal. Projects have ranged from process re-engineering, upgrading legacy
equipment, audio visual customization, network design, multipoint bridging
services and supporting offices in locations outside of Boston including
New York, Washington DC and California.
