Videré Conferencing Signs on as GlowPoint Sales
Agent
New England’s fastest growing videoconferencing supplier added to
GlowPoint’s growing list of top-tier sales agents
February 19, 2004
HILLSIDE, N.J., February 19, 2004 — Glowpoint,
Inc., (NASDAQ:GLOW) the nation’s first and leading carrier-grade,
IP-based video communications service provider, today announced that Videré
Conferencing, a provider of video, audio and web conferencing solutions,
has become the Company’s newest GlowPoint Certified AgentSM. Videré,
the fastest growing videoconferencing and collaboration consultancy in
New England, is now able to offer GlowPoint’s entire line of award-winning,
IP-based video communications services to its business customers.
The addition of Videré gives GlowPoint increased access to some
of New England’s premier organizations and fastest growing industries,
such as legal, healthcare, and financial services. With revenues from
videoconferencing of more than $3 million in 2003 and more than 60 videoconferencing
enterprise customers already, Videré is now able to offer a service
that finally gives its customers the ability to make video an integral,
everyday business tool without the need to invest in costly and IT-intensive
internal networks.
“Many businesses are accustomed to having their voice and data communications
run over an IP network, but most do not have the financial ability to
dedicate an IP network for video use alone. The GlowPoint network has
done this for them, offering an inexpensive, reliable, broadcast quality
alternative to ISDN,” said Bill Benoit, co-founder of Videré Conferencing.
“GlowPoint’s IP network signals the end of videoconferencing’s
decade long struggle to be taken seriously by businesses as a communications
tool. The company has given us what we need to quickly build a recurring
revenue stream from IP video communications.”
“Videré’s customer list represents the core industries
in the Boston and New England economy, and these targets are ready and
waiting for a video communications service such as GlowPoint,” said
David Trachtenberg, CEO, GlowPoint. “Videré has a solid reputation,
practical day-to-day experience in handling video needs and an understanding
of the need by customers for services such as GlowPoint.”
GlowPoint recently announced its “All You Can SeeSM” calling
plans that provide customers with unlimited video calls between the Company’s
global subscribers, as well as a variety of services that make video communications
easier, more spontaneous and more affordable. The company also launched
new online tools for agents called PartnerPointSM, an exclusive agent
portal that provides automated sales and marketing tools for the company’s
growing distribution channels.
